Getting close to the finish line

I have looked at all the the blogs again this week and it looks like people are making great progress on their Final Projects. We are almost finished! I look forward to seeing the projects come in.

4th Blog Posts and Fall Break

Well this week everyone should be making at least their fourth blog post. The blogs show that most of us are in good shape on the Final Projects. I also see a lot of helpful comments that people are posting to each other. Next week is Fall Break, and I will be offline most of that time. We should be back for our fifth blog posts in the week beginning December 1.

Blogwatching and Web 2.0 tools

Well I have been checking out everyone's blogs and people seem to be in good shape so far with their projects. I have left comments on each one. Also, has anyone used twitter (www.twitter.com)? It probably won't work for younger grades, but perhaps college or high school? I also just came across JigZone (www.jigzone.com), which could be useful for any grade.

Shared blogs

I have shared all the blogs with each other using NetVibes. Now we can see what everyone is doing and provide encouragement to each other as we complete our Final Projects. Feel free to comment here as well! By the way, the pic is of my best friend and myself in a recording session. We are in progress on a new cd, which should be ready early next year.

IDT 516 Fall 2008 projects starting

Well it's that time of the semester when IDT 516 begins working on their Final Projects. I look forward to seeing what everyone will be doing and reading about their progress in these blogs.

IDT 516 Final Projects - update

Well, most of our Spring 2008 IDT 516 group is getting to the end of their Final Projects. So far, I have seen quite a few interesting things through your blog posts. I look forward to seeing the projects themselves.

Fun with Technology

Well this last week was certainly very busy for all of us in IDT 516. Module 4 is filled with many new things: blogs, NetVibes, and more. Of course that means technical challenges as well. I think people in the class have shown their ability to try to work through these issues with an open mind. I think that most of them have been resolved, but you never know when something will come up.

In the meantime, I am also getting ready for a trip to New York City for the International Society for Performance Improvement conference. I am giving a presentation on using wikis on April 8.
