Blogwatching and Web 2.0 tools
Well I have been checking out everyone's blogs and people seem to be in good shape so far with their projects. I have left comments on each one. Also, has anyone used twitter (www.twitter.com)? It probably won't work for younger grades, but perhaps college or high school? I also just came across JigZone (www.jigzone.com), which could be useful for any grade.

Harper had a class for adjuncts about incorporating Facebook. Unfortunately, my schedule didn't allow me to be there. Could be interesting as a lot of college age students use the social networking sites.

Facebook is something I thought about for this class. I'd have to cut something else out though.
I have used twitter a little bit, I have to say, I haven't quite figured out why I would use it extensively the way others do. I like the idea of using it for campus alerts, but other than that (maybe it's just me) it's sort of big brother-ish, isn't it? Maybe I'm not using it right. So far as I can tell, its so your friends and family can keep abreast of your doings and whereabouts 24/7 - and you theirs. For me, it's the equivalent of my kids standing next to me going MOM MOM MOM MOM - ha!
